The appliance has one or more chambers (2) of a fluid- tight flexible and elastic material, and a reservoir (1), which is connected to the chamber via a flexible fluid conduit (3). There is a valve (4), esp. an excess pressure valve, to fill/drain the reservoir. The chamber has an associated mechanical guide. The connecting fluid conduit contains or forms an adjustable throttle (6). This is controlled by a timer circuit (7). The conduit also contains a detector (8) for flow direction and/ or pressure variations. The detector is connected to a signal generator, a recorder and/or a counter. USE/ADVANTAGE - Training appliance for therapeutic purposes is of simple construction and small size for almost universal application.
