Crack-resistant coated moulded resin parts - useful for exterior vehicle decorative fittings, e.g. running board trims or bumpers

A coated moulded resin part comprises: (i) a main resin moulded body; (ii) an intermediate layer on the surface of (i), comprising a resin component and spherical bodies (A); and (iii) a coating layer on the outer surface of (ii). Also claimed are the above coated moulded resin parts where (ii) comprises a resin component and fibrous (B) or scale-like (C) bodies. USE/ADVANTAGE - The parts are useful for exterior vehicle decorative fittings, e.g., running board trims, bumpers. The parts show improved impact strength without the need for an increased number of coatings or for thicker coatings.
