The invention relates to an alpine ski binding (1) comprising a base plate (2) on which are assembled an element (3) for retaining the boot and a ski brake (8). The base plate (2) is intended to be secured to the ski by means of screws (14, 15). The ski brake has a base piece (10) superposed on the base plate (2), and the assembly of the base piece to the base plate is effected by the interaction of tenons (18, 19) and mortices (20, 21) of the base plate (2). The brake (8) is, moreover, assembled to the base plate (2) by means of a removable bolt (23). The front screws for assembling the binding to the ski pass through both the base piece (10) of the brake (8) and the front part of the base plate (2), and their head bears on the base plate (10) of the brake. The binding is delivered with the brake assembled and, subsequently, it is possible to dismantle the brake by unscrewing the front screws (14) and by opening the bolt (23). <IMAGE>
