PURPOSE: To improve a performance of an actuator by hardening a welded solder between a side wall of the actuator and a top cover in terms of a piezoelectric ink jet type print head having a piezoelectric material on which a plurality of parallel grooves each being partitioned by a wall and having an opened top section are formed. CONSTITUTION: This ink jet type print head 10 includes a piezoelectric material 12 made from a piezoelectric substance PTZ and the piezoelectric material 12 is polarized in a direction of the arrow 14. The piezoelectric material 12 has a plurality of ink grooves 16 formed thereon and the grooves 16 are arranged at intervals in an array direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction and defined by a pair of side walls and a bottom face 20. The grooves 16 are covered with a top cover 24 having a sheet made from an insulation substance and a conductive pattern is formed on the cover 24. Next, the cover 24 is fixed to the body 12 of the print head by a solder, the connection is markedly strong in a shearing mode and an effectiveness of deformation of the walls 18 is improved. Electric contact suitable for a electrode 22 is achieved by the conductor 26 provided to the cover 24. |
