<p>PURPOSE:To provide a coder/decoder which is free from the block distortions. CONSTITUTION:An interpolator 2 and an LPF 3 perform the interpolation among the sampling points of the input image signals and then detect a block that is most coincident with the interpolated image signal out of those image signals stored in an interpolated image memory 6. A movement vector detecting circuit 7 detects a movement vector based on the preceding image signal and block. At the same time, an estimated error signal is acquired based on the difference between the image signal and the block. The decoder outputs the block from the memory 6 based on the inputted movement vector. Then the sum is secured between the block and the inputted predictive error signal and an interpolated image signal is obtained. The interpolation signal is thinned-out from the image signal.</p> |
