PURPOSE:To obtain easily homogeneous reproduced pictures repeatedly, by using a storage type phosphor, where a radiation picture is recorded, over and over cyclically. CONSTITUTION:A storage type phosphor plate 2 is stopped in the position facing a radiation source 5, and a transmission radiation picture of an object 6 is stored and recorded. The storage type phosphor plate 2 is stopped in the position facing an optical deflector 8, a photodetector 9, etc. and is scanned with the excitation light emitted from an excitation light source 7 and emits a light acceleratingly in accordance with stored and recorded picture information, and this light is inputted to the photodetector 9 through a light transmitting means 10, and an electric picture signal corresponding to the radiation picture is outputted. When the picture is read, the phosphor plate is stopped in the position facing an erasing light source 11, and the formed radiation picture is erased, and the phosphor plate 2 is restored to the reusable state. In this method, what differs from the method, where phosphor plates are carried one by one, is the fact that the risk of the damage of the storage type phosphor plate 2 is almost removed, and homogeneous reproduced pictures without the variance due to sheets are obtained because the phosphor plate 2 is always used over and over cyclically in a certain order. |
