PURPOSE:To clearly display the present projection position during operation of a device by lighting a display element with a sensor linked with its movements. CONSTITUTION:When the center of a document 1 is set by coinciding with a position coincidence line 7 and the read start of the document 1 is in structured read of the document 1 is started by an image forming lens 8 and a sensor 9. At the time of read start, the sensor 9 is located in the position shown in a figure (a), and the position is detected by an image pickup position detecting means 11, and a CPU 10 lights a display means 4 at a position corresponding to the image pickup position. When the sensor 9 is moved to the position shown in a figure (b) thereafter, the display means 4 corresponding to the image pickup position is lit; and when the sensor reaches the image pickup end position, all display means 4 are lit. That is, the scanning position of the sensor 9 is detected by the detecting means 11, and display means 4 are operated based on the detection result to display the image pickup position. |
