摘要 In the video signal bandwidth compression method of the VCR recording, this method realizes high compression ratio without using expensive frame memories and employing movement detection technique which may cause picture quality degradation in the playing time. A compression is done that; video signal is digitally converted via a A/D converter (11); Y and C are separated thru a 2 dimensional Y/C separator (12), pre-filtered thru a pre-filter (13), and sub-sampled at the sub-Nyquist sampling offset unit (14), and filtered thru 2.5 MHz low pass filter (21), and converted into analog signals at a D/A converter (16), and transmitted. A decompression process is as follows; a compressed signal is digitally converted at a A/D converter (21) and pass thru TBC (Time Base Corrector) (25), sub-Nyquist sampling offset unit (23), post filter (24), and recovered to its original form at a D/A converter (25).
