A cooling tower for evaporating water from a brine solution is provided an d may include an air inlet, a brine inlet for receiving the brine solution, an d a heat--exchange assembly receiving the brine solution from the brine inlet an d receiving air from the air inlet. The heat-exchange assembly transfers moisture from t he brine solution to the air received from the air inlet to reduce the moisture content of the brine solution.
