FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of cutting of composite items of annular shape of case side pieces with the help of disk knife and support roller with annular dent, in which cut item is fed to the cutting area, cutting is performed during contact of driven disk knife with edges of annular dent of support roller that is arranged with the possibility of rotation. Axes of knife and roller rotation are installed in horizontal plane. Supply of cut item into cutting zone is carried out by means of item pressing between knife and support roller. Item supply to the cutting zone is provided by rotation, for that purpose item is installed on feeding rollers that are arranged with the possibility of rotation and displacement in direction of cutting area and installed in the plane that is orthogonal to the plane of to axes of disk knife and support roller rotation. Annular item is installed so that center of item rotation is not vertical to cutting zone and corresponds to central part of triangle formed by feeding rollers, in which cut item is installed. ^ EFFECT: invention makes it possible to considerably increase efficiency of process and separate metal wire hoop from case side piece. ^ 2 dwg
