<p>A securable fastening device (10) is described for the installation of fittings (12) or other objects in an aperture or hollow (16) which has opposite edges (14) or walls, such as a rectangular aperture or recess (16) in a thin or thick wall, such as a metal plate or wooden board (18), comprising a head part (20) which is to be arranged on the one, outer side of the thin or thick wall (18), covers the outer rim (22) of the aperture or hollow (16) and from which there emerges, in the fitted position, a foot part (24) which protrudes through the aperture (16) or protrudes into the hollow and from which holding elements (30) project in the direction of its outer surface, said holding elements being displaceable with respect to one another counter to or by spring force in a passage (26) formed in the foot part (24) and the free end (32) of which holding elements has an oblique surface (34) for the play-free supporting of the foot part (24) on the rim or edge (14) of the aperture (16) of the other, inner side (36) of the thin wall (14), or the free end of said holding elements having obliquely arranged points for penetrating the wall surface of the aperture or of the hollow of the thick wall, wherein the foot part (24) and the holding element (30) are separate parts, and wherein the holding elements (30) can be displaced along the passage (26) by means of a screw (44) which preferably has a conically shaped region, characterized in that the holding elements (30) are plates which are arranged next to one another or, alternatively, one behind another, are elongated in the direction of displacement and together, or alternatively on their own, form, with the passage walls, a receiving space (38) which extends in the direction of displacement and is intended for a compression spring (28), said receiving space being reduced in size when the plates (30) are displaced out of their rest position and, as a result, compressing the spring (28), in that the screw(s) (44) which has (have) a conically shaped region has (have) a conically shaped foot (40), and in that the plates (30) each have, in the vicinity of their one end (34) in each case, a first, inner oblique surface (46) which interacts with the conical foot (40), said oblique surfaces only being slightly offset with respect to one another in the inoperative position of the plates, but moving away from one another upon displacement of the plates into the working position.</p> |
