A vibration attenuated power drill is disclosed. The drill comprises a housing incorporating a motor ( 6 ) for driving an output shaft. A drill bit is driven by the output shaft by means of cooperating ratchet plates contained in a gearbox. The motor has a stator ( 24 ) and a rotor ( 26 ), and is provided with vibration attenuating means comprising leaf springs ( 38 ) attenuating vibrations transmitted from the motor to the housing along the axis of rotation of the rotor ( 26 ) relative to the stator ( 24 ).
