The invention concerns a calibrator to be used for the production of extruded hollow thermoplastic profiles (1) which mainly have a rectangular cross-section, which calibrator has a stationary framework (7) which supports a large number of lamellar calibrator plates (S) which are arranged at a distance from each other in such a way that together they form a channel (K) that goes through the calibrator, the cross-section of which channel determines the outer shape of the thermoplastic profile (1) to be manufactured. According to the invention at least one of the walls of the channel (K) is delimited by a moveable part (8; 9) of the calibrator plate (S), which part is adjustable in a perpendicular direction to the channel, in order to adapt the calibrator (4) to thermoplastic profiles (1) which have different height/width ratios. |
