<p>A technology for enhancing stability of steering in which both the tire response at the initial stage of cornering and the controllability of tire in the vicinity of limit point of cornering required for a high performance radial tire intended for application to high performance car are satisfied. In a pneumatic radial tire in which at least two layers of mixture belt layers using steel cords as a reinforcing material are arranged, rigidity of steel cord in the belt layer per unit width satisfies a following expression: (A-800)/B=20, wherein, A: tensile rigidity of cord (kg) defined by the stress at the time of 1% tension number of cords(per 50 mm), B: flexural rigidity of cord (g/mm) defined by the inclination of stress-flexural displacement curve obtained by three point bending test of cord when it is pushed in by 2-6 mm and deformed number of cords (per 50 mm).</p> |
