In a telecommunication system (1) for managing a transaction between a buyer and a seller of a product or a service, a central processing unit (3) is controlled by a manager of the telecommunication system (1); and a first and a second local processing units (4, 5) are respectively controlled by the buyer and the seller, and are so set up as to interact remotely with the central processing unit (3) through an interconnection network (2) in order to establish an association between a purchase offer and a sale offer. In particular, the central processing unit (3) is so set up as to generate and communicate to the buyer and the seller respective delivery codes in response to said association, which can be used during a mutual interaction step for the purpose of ensuring a secure transaction.
