<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reproduction system, for limiting the number of contents simultaneously reproduced by equipment connected to a home network while permitting sharing of contents in the home network. <P>SOLUTION: This content reproduction system 10 comprises a plurality of content reproduction devices 100 for reproducing contents. Each content reproduction device 100 is connected to the home network 300. The content reproduction system 10 backs up a content to be stored in a portable storage medium 150, and permits any one of the content reproduction devices 100 to reproduce the content.
