PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording ink composition being excellent in ejection stability, giving a high-quality image of high saturation and good hue, and being excellent in water resistance and light fastness, and to provide an inkject recording method.

SOLUTION: The recording ink composition comprises at least an organic pigment, colored polymer microparticles, a water-soluble solvent, and water, wherein the colored polymer microparticles comprise a dye and inorganic pigment particles.
