摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable "progressive driving" of a gas discharge panel sharing display electrodes with two discharge cells adjoining each other in an extension direction of an address electrode. SOLUTION: The gas discharge panel includes a plurality of first electrodes X1, X2, Y1, Y2 arranged on one substrate and covered with a dielectric layer, and a plurality of striped electrodes A arranged on the other substrate, and partition walls 29, 290 for sectioning the two discharge cells C1, C2, C3 sharing the first electrodes from both sides of the striped electrode sections near the positions where the striped electrodes 420 of the first electrodes and the second electrodes intersect. When the gas discharge panel is driven, the amounts of the wall charges of the two discharge cells sharing the first electrodes are set at respectively different levels in the address process.
