PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a volume rate or frame rate without lowering visual field depth or bearing resolution. SOLUTION: In the ultrasonic diagnostic device, a modulation control unit 46 controls a transmission part 22 and modulates a transmission waveform when transmitting an ultrasonic wave in a prescribed modulation system in accordance with a transmission direction, the transmission part 22 uses a transmission pulse repetition frequency different from a reception pulse repetition frequency in a modulated transmission waveform to transmit the ultrasonic wave, a receiving part 23 receives reflection waves reflected by a subject from each reception direction, a demodulation control unit 47 demodulates the received waveforms in a prescribed demodulation system corresponding to the prescribed modulation system used when the transmission waveforms are modulated, a recognition part 44 recognizes the reception direction of the reflection waves corresponding to the received waveform by the received waveform being demodulated, and an image reconstruction part 45 generates volume data or secondary image data on the basis of the received waveform according to a recognition result.
