PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact image pick-up device, capable of taking a photograph in a wide range with excellent image quality. SOLUTION: The imaging pick-up device 10 includes an optical system including at least lenses 1, 2, 4 and 5 and an aperture diaphragm 3 and is configured so that when an NP point 7 is defined as a point where an extended linear component in an object space of a principal ray located in a Gauss region and selected from among principal rays passing through a center of the aperture diaphragm 3 of the optical system crosses an optical axis of the optical system, D represents a diameter of the lens 1 at the closest side to the imaging subject, and LN represents a distance from a lens surface of the lens 1 at the closest side to the imaging subject to the NP point 7, a formula; 0≤LN≤D is satisfied.
