PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid bad influence on the performance of a tire by the joint in a method or an apparatus for molding an inner liner by joining sheet materials. SOLUTION: The sheet material with a half width of the total width of the inner liner 1 is used. Two sheets of this sheet materials 3 are joined and stuck together on their side edges each other on a band drum 10 to mold an inner liner layer L joined at their central parts. When the inner liner layer L are laminated, the position of the joint 5 is shifted so as not to overlap among the inner liner layers L1-L4. In addition, the width is adjusted by cutting the side edge part of the sheet material to obtain the inner liner 1 with an arbitrary cross-sectional shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
