PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of ceramic rolls of induction heating devices. SOLUTION: The induction heating devices 20, 21, 22 for heating steel and a cutting machine 13 for cutting the tip of the steel product are arranged in this order on a hot-rolling line L on which the steel is conveyed with a plurality of conveying rolls arranged side by side in the horizontal direction. On the hot-rolling line L, ceramic rolls R1 for conveying rough bars H in the induction heating device 20, 21, 22 and cylinder mechanisms 40 for lowering the ceramic rolls R1 with respect to the ceramic rolls R2 before and behind them are provided. When the front end part of the rough bar H is cut with the cutting machine 13, the ceramic rolls R1 are lowered to positions lower than those of the conveying rolls R2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
