A blurring correction device and an optical apparatus in which driving of a blurring correction optical system can be controlled stably. The blurring correction device (30) has a fixed portion (31) and a blurring correction optical system (25) and comprises moving sections (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) for moving in a plane normal to the optical axis of the blurring correction optical system (25) relatively to the fixed portion (31), a first detecting section (35) for detecting relative movement of the fixed portion (31) and the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) in the first direction (D1), a second detecting section (35) for detecting relative movement of the fixed portion (31) and the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) in the second direction (D2), and a center of gravity adjusting member (36) arranged in the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) so that the center of gravity (G1) position of the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) can approach the intersection (C) of each detecting direction of the first and second detecting sections (35, 35). |
