The assembly has an air tapping device (2) provided with a transversal opening (S2), and provided in a transverse region on an upper level. The transverse region lies below another transversal opening (S1), where the upper level lies below a sample elbow withdrawal path space (PB) that is provided withdrawal of sample elbow. Air component current (T2) is drawn off through the opening (S2), and is allowed to overflow to a front straight slotter region in a traveling direction (BLR). An independent claim is also included for a method for managing air flow tapping at a region of a sheet delivery device of a sheet fed printing press.
