<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell which is reduced in resistance, as well as, reduced in the dispersion of resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This polymer electrolyte fuel cell is structured such that an anode catalyst layer is arranged on one side of an electrolyte membrane; an anode gas diffusion layer is arranged on its outside; a bipolar electrode is arranged farther outside; a cathode catalyst layer is arranged on the other side of the electrolyte membrane; a cathode gas diffusion layer is arranged on its outside; a bipolar electrode is arranged farther outside; a substantially circular projecting part is formed on the bipolar electrode; and the substantially circular projecting part abuts against the cathode gas diffusion layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
