<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of a printer, in printing of an SVG document. <P>SOLUTION: The printer comprises a printing document receiving section 100 for receiving document data, a document analyzing section 120 for generating output document data from the document data, a print mode judging section 140 for selecting a print mode to be carried out by the document analyzing section 120, a layout processing section 170 for processing the output document data, and a print execution section 180 for executing printing. The document analyzing section 120 includes a sequential print mode 125, a batch print mode 126, a partially sequential print mode 127.
