AIR-FUEL RATIO CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio control device capable of improving cleaning efficiency by a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas.

SOLUTION: This air-fuel ratio control device is provided with the catalyst for cleaning the exhaust gas arranged in the exhaust passage of an engine, and an air-fuel ratio modulating means for modulating the air-fuel ratio of the engine between a rich side and a lean side with a prescribed central air-fuel ratio interposed between them. The air-fuel ratio modulating means is configured to execute control for increasing the modulation amount of the air-fuel ratio according to a progress condition upon activation of the catalyst.
