PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain content-related information such as a work name, a music name related with a content recorded in an information recording medium. SOLUTION: From a content certificate corresponding to the content recorded in the information recording medium, a content hash table digest being a hash value corresponding to the content is obtained and a content identifier based on obtained data is generated and transmitted to the server. The server specifies the content on the basis of the content identifier and provides a user device with various kinds of content-related information corresponding to the content such as the music name, the work name, a jaket photograph. Thus, a service providing processing constitution similar to obtaining processing of the content-related information utilizing a TOC (Table of Contents) in a CD is realized also in a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), a BD [Blu-ray Disc (R)], etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
