PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound having DGAT1 (Diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase type 1) inhibitory actions. SOLUTION: A biarylamine derivative is represented by formula (I) [wherein, ring A is a bivalent group or the like after removing two hydrogen atoms from a benzene ring; ring B is a bivalent group or the like after removing two hydrogen atoms from a benzene ring; R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group or the like; ring C is a group after removing two hydrogen atoms from a benzene ring; Y is an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or the like; and D is a carboxy group-substituted cyclic hydrocarbon group].
