PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holding mechanism of a lens processing device capable of being applied by great application pressure and maintaining the dependent rotation of a lens raw workpiece without being affected by processing conditions. SOLUTION: In this lens holding mechanism 2 of the lens processing device 1, a fixed shaft 4 is fixed to the circumference of a pressurizing shaft 3 and the major diameter deadweight part 7a of a rotating shaft 7 is rotatably connected to the circumference through a bearing in a coaxial state. A lens holding tool 10 fixed to the small diameter shaft part 7c of the rotating shaft 7 is mounted with a lens holding plate 11. The bearing 5 can be large in size unlike in attaching to the inside of the pressurizing shaft 3 to build up the processing pressure. As a lens processing tool 13 rotates while sandwiching the lens raw workpiece 12, the lens raw workpiece 12 dependently rotates. Even if the running torque transferred from the lens processing tool 13 decreases, the rotation of the lens raw workpiece 12 is maintained by the great inertial force of the large diameter deadweight part 7b of the rotating shaft 7, thereby performing the lens processing with accuracy.
