PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch mounting seat in which a wiring work for a switch member can be done easily when the switch member is fitted from a rear side of a design surface. SOLUTION: In the switch mounting seat in which a switch member 40 provided with a main body portion 42 with a switch 44 and a locking portion 46 provided removable on the main body portion 42 can be fitted from a rear side of a design surface, there are provided a first holding means for holding the switch member 40 at a regular position and a second holding means for holding the switch member 40 at a temporary position nearer in a fitting direction of the switch member 40 than the proper position, and the second holding means is provided with a regulating means 28 for regulating shifting of the main body portion in a fitting direction, a first controlling portion 30 for controlling shifting of the locking portion 46 in an opposite direction to the fitting direction, and a second controlling portion 32 for controlling an upward shift of the locking portion 46.
