<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope support system less in burdens on a support apparatus side in the endoscope support system capable of instructing an operator of an electronic endoscope apparatus from a support apparatus at a remote location when performing a surgery or diagnosing using the electronic endoscope apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An image picked up by an electronic endoscope is displayed on a monitor on the electronic endoscope apparatus side, and also the image is transmitted through a prescribed network to the support apparatus. In the support apparatus, the received image is displayed on a monitor on the support apparatus side, the input of coordinate information corresponding to the coordinates of a part to be reported to the electronic endoscope apparatus side in the image is received, and the inputted coordinate information is transmitted through the prescribed network to the electronic endoscope apparatus.
