PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera increasing interest in photography. SOLUTION: The camera 1 is provided with: a display part 40 wherein a plurality of small areas A1 to A4 each of which has an area narrower than the whole area of an image displayable area can be set in the image displayable area; an image data recording part 20 for recording the image data of photographed images; and a display control part 52 for setting a plurality of small areas in the display part 40, and while displaying a photography preparation image based on an output of an image pickup part 10 during a framing on a part of the small areas during the photography, displaying the photographed image based on the image data recorded in the image data recording part in the small areas excluding the partial small area. A plurality of layout patterns are prepared for the plurality of small areas and data concerned with these layout patterns are selectively recorded in a layout data recording part 70. The display control part 52 is configured so as to set each small area on the display part 40 on the basis of a layout pattern selected from the plurality of layout patterns.
