PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit a holding plate mounted with a driving circuit portion and a driver circuit portion of a plasma display device to a chassis member with a strong structure in a simple process. SOLUTION: The plasma display device has a plasma display panel which has a discharge space formed by arranging a pair of substrates having electrodes opposite each other, the chassis member 17 disposed on a back side of the plasma display panel, and the driving circuit portion mounted on the holding plate 23 fixed to the chassis member 17, the holding member 23 and chassis member 17 being coupled and fixed by inserting an upper-stage boss portion 18c of a boss portion 18, which is made of an elastic body and having the upper-stage boss portion 18c, fixed to one of the holding plate 23 and chassis member 17 into an opening portion 24 bored in the other.
