PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism mutually moving two flat surfaces in parallel with each other without using structure by slide-fitting, to provide a shaft coupling mechanism using the mechanism, for transmitting a rotary motion between two shafts shifted from and in parallel with each other, and to provide a rotation mechanism using the mechanism, in which other shaft element can be rotated in a flat surface at right angle to an axial direction. SOLUTION: Between members 2, 3 of which the surfaces at right angle to an axis direction are opposed to be in parallel with each other, a ring-shaped intermediate ring (intermediate member) 11 is disposed to be in parallel with the opposed surfaces. The intermediate ring 11 and one member 3 are connected by first leaf springs 13a, 13b, the intermediate ring 11 is movably supported in a first direction Y at right angle to an axis direction of one member 2. The intermediate ring 11 and the other member 2 are connected by second leaf springs 13c, 13d at a position shifted by 90 degrees around an axle from the first leaf springs 13a, 13b, the intermediate ring 11 is supported to be movable in a second direction X at right angle to an axis direction and at right angle to the first direction, so that the opposed surfaces can be moved in parallel with each other.
