PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit adhesion of fuel on a cylinder inner wall surface irrespective of alcohol concentration, in an engine capable of divided injection of alcohol mixed fuel. SOLUTION: Ethanol mixed gasoline to be fuel is dividedly injected from an injector when a cylinder injection engine injecting fuel directly into a cylinder by the injector is operated with homogeneous combustion. Number of times of divided injection is increased according to ethanol concentration of the ethanol mixed gasoline in order to keep one fuel injection period Te during divided injection within predetermined period Tk when ethanol concentration of ethanol mixed gasoline is not less than a predetermined valueα.
