PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffering packaging material which suppresses the bulging of the packaging box, caused by a projection formed on the buffering packaging material to prevent the scratch of the outer packaging of the packaging box and a reduction in carrying capacity when an electronic device with the buffering packaging material attached thereto is housed in a packaging box. SOLUTION: A buffering packaging material unit 1 has a shape made by integrally combining four buffering packaging materials, in which the buffering packaging materials can be divided at connecting portions. The buffering packaging material unit 1 includes a buffering packaging material 30 having a first recess 311 formed in parallel with a projection 13c and a second recess 312 formed on the face opposite the projection 13c of the first recession 311 to be perpendicular to the projection 13c.
