PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out V-shape machining so as to improve an appearance even if a lens curve is a high curve. SOLUTION: The device comprises a chuck shaft, a V-shaped groove lens edge grinding wheel simultaneously machining a front surface side and a rear surface side lens edge tilting surfaces, a front lens edge grinding wheel, a rear surface lens edge grinding wheel, and a measuring means of edge positions of a front surface and a rear surface. The device comprises a selecting means selecting a low curve mode or a high curve mode about the lens curve; a computing means computing a lens edge locus positioning a lens edge top point between the front surface and the rear surface on the basis of the edge positions of the lens front surface and the rear surfaces obtained by the measuring means when the low curve mode is selected by the selecting means, and computing a lens edge locus for a high curve positioning the lens edge top point on the front surface curve on the basis of edge position information obtained by the selecting means when the high curve mode is selected; and a lens edge machining controlling means carrying out machining by the V-shaped groove lens edge grinding wheel when the low curve mode is selected, and lens edge machining only the rear surface side by the rear surface lens edge machining grinding wheel when the high curve mode is selected.
