A wheel support device in which a boot covering and sealing an opening of an outer ring of a constant velocity joint is protected. A hub wheel (10), to which a wheel is attached, and the constant velocity joint (50), which is connected to a drive shaft (60) in a torque transmittable manner, are integrated together. A rolling bearing (20) is provided on the outer periphery of the hub wheel (10), and an outer ring (30) of the rolling beating (20) is attached to a vehicle body-side member (42). The boot (80) for covering and sealing the opening of the outer ring (55) of the constant velocity joint (50) is installed so as to straddle both the outer ring (55) of the constant velocity joint (50) and the drive shaft (60). An annular fitting section (58) having a step corresponding to the thickness of a hollow tube-like protective cover (100) is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a vehicle body-side end of the outer ring (30) of the rolling bearing (20). The protective cover (100) covers and protects the outer periphery of the boot (80), and one end of the protective cover (100) is detachably fitted on the annular fitting section (58).
