An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to determine an alignment direction of liquid crystal particles disposed in a fine electrode group by at least one notch, thereby preventing the random motion of the liquid crystal particles to improve a response rate. An LCD device includes a first insulating substrate, a pixel electrode, a second insulating substrate, a common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer. The pixel electrode is formed on the first insulating substrate and includes at least two fine electrode group composed of plural fine electrodes(86_1) which are arranged substantially parallelly in a predetermined direction. The second insulating substrate is opposite to the first insulating substrate. The common electrode is formed on the second insulating substrate and is not patterned. The liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and second insulating substrates. At least one notch(186) is formed in the fine electrodes. Each of the fine electrode groups is divided into at least two domains by the at least one notch. |
