<p>The invention relates to a method and a device for locating each of the wheels (3, 4) of a pair of twin wheels mounted on a vehicle. According to the invention, each twin wheel (3, 4) is equipped with an electromagnetic receiving antenna (9, 10), and these two twin wheels are furnished with means for relative rotational locking (27-30), suitable for making it possible to obtain an offset of a predetermined angle (a), such that (a) differs from 0° and 180°, between the receiving antennas (9, 10) equipping said two twin wheels. Moreover, the vehicle is equipped with a fixed source (15) for emitting an electromagnetic signal able to cover a zone traversed by the receiving antennas (9, 10), and the electromagnetic field received by each of said receiving antennas is measured in such a way as to deduce by analysing the time offset between the variations of the two measured electromagnetic fields, the location of each of the twin wheels (3, 4).</p> |
