<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eucryptite ceramic filler and an insulating composite material containing the filler. <P>SOLUTION: The eucryptite ceramic filler is represented by the chemical formula, xLiO<SB>2</SB>-yAl<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-zSiO<SB>2</SB>(wherein x, y and z are each a mixing molar ratio; x and y are each independently in the range of 0.9-1.1, and z is in the range of 1.9-2.1), the thermal expansion coefficient (CTE) of an insulating composite material is effectively lowered by using this eucryptite ceramic filler. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
