<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide image data of display specifications which can be displayed as an object to be reproduced by neither troubling nor confusing a user. <P>SOLUTION: Based upon image display specifications of the image data to be reproduced, device display specifications acquired from an HDMI-connected display device 2, and a display specification pattern which is predetermined and stored in, for example, a nonvolatile memory 94, image data are skipped which can not be displayed on the display device 2 with its image display specifications, can not be converted according to a predetermined display specification conversion pattern, or can not be displayed on the display device 2 since display specifications after conversion do not match the device display specifications. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
