<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of preventing a feeding trouble at low cost by detecting an excess of loading quantity of sheets without providing a special part. <P>SOLUTION: This document (sheet) feeder 10 includes: a document feeding tray 11; a document feeding mechanism 12 to feed documents one by one from the document feeding tray 11; a device case body 21 to support the document feeding tray 11 free to move in the vertical direction; a tray driving mechanism 24 to move the document feeding tray 11 in the vertical direction; a document set detection sensor 31 to detect loading of the documents on the document feeding tray 11; a document position detection sensor 33 to detect that the document at the top level is positioned at a position free to feed the documents; and a controller 32 to determine it an excess of loading quantity when the document set detection sensor 31 and the document position detection sensor 33 come to be in a detecting state before the document feeding tray 11 moves in an upward direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
