<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an input and output device to a computer, using a limited space. <P>SOLUTION: An input and output module 20 of the computer 10 is provided with one or a plurality of input and output connectors 24 for interface-connecting an external device to a component in the computer 10. The input and output module 20 is detachably attached to the computer 10, and is replaceable with a different input and output module 50 having an input and output connector 54 different from that of the first input and output module 20. The input and output module 20 passes an unchanged signal between the external devices and the computer component, and/or processes the signal to pass a changed signal.
