PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet shielding fiber having excellent ultraviolet shielding properties and high strength retention after irradiation of the ultraviolet light, to provide a method for producing the ultraviolet shielding fiber, to provide a fiber structure comprising the ultraviolet shielding fiber and to provide clothes using the fiber structure. SOLUTION: The fiber structure is obtained by treating a fiber composed of a polyether ester or a polyester prepared by copolymerizing a third component containing an anionic functional group with a treating liquid containing a cationizing agent and an ultraviolet shielding agent and then, as necessary, using the fiber.
