PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide molding equipment and a manufacturing method for a bead core, which are used for simply and efficiently manufacturing the polygonal-shaped cross-section bead core with a side surface portion perpendicular to a bottom surface. SOLUTION: This molding equipment for the bead core comprises a bead former having a guide section 21 for taking up a metal wire 1, and a pitch roller which is arranged in close vicinity to the bead former, which has an opening for supporting the metal wire 1 and which can move the metal wire 1, supported by an opening, in the width direction of the guide section 21. The guide section 21 has a wall portion 21B perpendicular to a bottom portion 21A, and an inclined portion 21C which connects the bottom portion 21A and the wall portion 21B together. The manufacturing method for the bead core makes the polygonal-shaped cross-section bead core molded by means of the molding equipment for the bead core, in the manufactured of the polygonal-shaped cross-section bead core with the side surface portion perpendicular to the bottom surface.
