PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary injection molding machine which can set up proper mold closing conditions and mold protecting conditions in relation to different molds. SOLUTION: The rotary injection molding machine is fitted with a movable mold 2, a movable platen 1 driven along tie bars 4 and 5, and a plurality of fixed molds 6a and 6b and has a rotary table 3 which is rotated/driven to arrange one of the fixed molds 6a and 6b in a mold clamping station. The machine is provided additionally with a mold distinction part 10 for distinguishing the fixed molds 6a and 6b arranged in the mold clamping station and a controller 8, which stores the mold closing conditions and the mold protecting conditions set in advance to correspond to each of the fixed molds 6a and 6b, and controls a mold closing process and the mold protecting process in relation to the movable mold 2 and the fixed molds 6a and 6b from the mold closing conditions and the mold protecting conditions for the fixed molds 6a and 6b distinguished by the mold distinction part 10.
