PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel gel which has an interpenetrating network structure using N-vinylalkylamide as a monomer, and a novel crosslinking agent used to form the gel. SOLUTION: The poly(N-vinylalkylamide) gel in an interpenetrating network structure is synthesized by using an N-vinylalkylamide monomer and a crosslinking agent represented by formula (II) as the constituent units.
