PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing an organic friction-regulator in which a curing reaction at high temperature can be carried out in an oxygen-free state, in a step for producing cashew dust. SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing the organic friction-regulator uses superheated steam in the heating and curing reaction in the method for synthesizing the organic friction-regulator by subjecting a primary polymer of a cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) prepared by reacting the CNSL with a curing agent to the heating and curing reaction, and cooling and pulverizing the cured product to afford the friction-regulator.
